1. Who We Are

Super Earth Salute is an independent, fan-run YouTube channel and community platform for Helldivers 2 players. This portal enables users to register factions, submit charity events, track major orders, and connect with our community through Discord.

Super Earth Salute is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Arrowhead Game Studios or Sony Interactive Entertainment in any way. Helldivers 2 and all related marks are property of their respective owners.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the platform:

• Account data: Your email address, used for authentication and platform communications.
• Faction submissions: Faction name, leader name, lore, playstyle, images, Discord server URL, and YouTube links you choose to provide.
• Charity submissions: Event name, charity details, dates, partner names, and media you choose to provide.
• Discord identity (optional): If you connect your Discord account via OAuth, we retrieve your Discord username, display name, server membership status, and assigned roles within our Discord guild. This is used exclusively to verify your membership tier.
• Usage data: Basic, anonymised analytics (page views, feature interactions) to improve the platform. No personally identifying information is attached to these events.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate and manage your account on this platform.
• To review and process faction and charity submissions.
• To verify your Discord server membership and role tier, when you choose to connect Discord.
• To produce content for the Super Earth Salute YouTube channel, using only the faction profile details you submitted for that purpose.
• To send transactional notifications (e.g. submission status updates) via direct message or email.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the above.

4. Discord OAuth & Data Access

When you connect your Discord account, we request access to:

• Your Discord username and user ID.
• Your membership status and role assignments within the Super Earth Salute Discord server.

This data is used solely to verify your community tier and unlock tier-appropriate features (such as faction registration). We do not access your private messages, friends list, or any other Discord servers. Your OAuth token is never stored beyond the active session.

Users may request correction, export, or deletion of any Discord-derived data associated with their account by contacting us at community@superearthsalute.com or via our Discord server.

If you disconnect your Discord account or revoke this application's authorisation through Discord, any Discord-derived membership and role information retained for verification purposes will be removed during the next synchronisation cycle unless retention is required for security, moderation, or legal purposes.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data — ever.

We do not sell, license, monetise, or otherwise commercially exploit Discord API data.

Your data is not shared with third parties except:

• Base44 (platform provider): This application is built and hosted on Base44. Base44 acts solely as a service provider and data processor on our behalf and may access data only as necessary to provide hosting, storage, authentication, and platform functionality.
• Discord API: Used only to verify membership when you explicitly initiate a sync.
• Where required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and submission data for as long as your account is active on this platform. Upon account deletion:

• Your personal authentication data (email, login credentials) is permanently removed immediately.
• Faction and charity submission records are moved to an internal archive that is not publicly accessible, to preserve community and moderation history.
• Discord OAuth tokens are not retained beyond your active session.

Discord-derived data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the functionality described in this policy and is deleted upon request unless retention is required by law or for legitimate security and moderation purposes.

If you require full purge of all associated submission data, please contact us via our Discord server or by email at community@superearthsalute.com and we will action this within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data via your Dashboard at any time.
• Erase your account and personal data (see Section 8 below).
• Restrict or object to how we process your data.
• Portability — request an export of your data in a readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via our Discord server or by email at community@superearthsalute.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Cookies

This portal uses only essential authentication cookies required for login functionality. No tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics cookies are used.

10. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction. While no system can be guaranteed completely secure, we take reasonable measures to protect the information entrusted to us.
